Football combine in

June at Kamehameha

The Pacific Island Athletic Alliance is holding a football combine June 16 at Kamehameha’s campus.

Check-in at 7 a.m. and evaluations and testing (40-yard dash, pro agility, 3-cone, broad jump, vertical, bench press) will start at 9 a.m.

Cost is $20 tax deductible donation in advance; $25 cash/exact change only, day of event, if space is available.

Kickball tourney

June 2-3 in Keaau

The Sweeet softball team will host a soccer ball kickball tournament on June 2-3 at Shipman’s lower baseball field.

There will be three divisions at the tournament — men, women and coed with 10 players on the field.

Entry fee is $125 with first-place prizes.

Deadline to enter is Wednesday with JoBette at 960-4671.

HGEA golf event

June 11 at Muni

The Hawaii Government Employees Association will hold a golf fellowship June 11 at Hilo Municipal Golf Course.

Beginning at 8 a.m., 10 tee times are available for HGEA members, retirees and associate members in good standing. Entry fee is $5 and there will be low-net and closest-to-the-pin prizes.
